The Farmer's Visualization
Powerful lessons from an elderly farmer ...

We had been visiting an elderly farmer for several weeks. On one of my visits I found that he had changed rooms. He explained to me that although he had asked to bring his pictures with him, somehow the transfer had not taken place. When I asked him what he would prefer he requested some wildlife; in particular the wolf picture that had been hanging in his previous room. "Powerful beasts," I commented. "They're very popular these days."

"Yup," he commented. "I rather like that wolf. You know why? Every time the nurse comes in and hooks up my chemotherapy, I visualize that wolf coming into my bloodstream and swallowing up each and every one of those cancer cells."

I was so overcome that I retrieved his picture immediately and added three more wolf images to his walls.
