Program receives community service award
Foothills Medical Centre volunteer appreciation, May 27, 2009
Debbie Baylin

Art à la Carte was in the limelight at this year's Foothills Medical Centre Volunteer Appreciation event. Alberta Health Services hosted a lovely awards luncheon at which time our dear volunteer coordinator, Ruth Trueman, received a milestone award for 1,500 hours of hospital service. Art à la Carte was also recognized for its contribution as a distinguished community service organization.

Marisa Boulet, Coordinator for Volunteer Resources, presented the group with a framed certificate that reads:

Volunteers ... Hands that serve, hearts that care

In recognition of your voluntary contribution to Alberta Health Services and to the people we serve, this Certificate of Appreciation honours Art à la Carte for Community Volunteer Service. Dated this 27th day of May, 2009.

While our volunteers approach their commitment to patient care as a privilege that comes without expectation of recognition, the day was certainly filled with pride for one and all.
