PaintFest Canada En Route to Calgary

We are so excited to welcome representatives from The Foundation for Hospital Art to Calgary! Hospital Art is an international non-profit organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Since 1984, they have enriched the lives of entire medical communities in over 3,000 hospitals, hosting PaintFests in 195 countries. The concept for the Canadian tour grew from founder John Feight’s desire to visit the beautiful Canadian landscape while meeting face to face with none other than the Art à la Carte organization, where volunteers have been hosting PaintFests for years.

The Foundation for Hospital Art will be facilitating painting sessions in Calgary as part of an eight city trans-Canada tour. Patients, families, caregivers and friends will join together to hand paint a series of colour-coded canvases that ultimately combine to form a brilliant wall mural. PaintFests involve everyone regardless of their abilities. They help inspire freedom of expression, dignity, passion, beauty and healing.

Sessions will run from 9am to 1pm both Friday and Saturday and are being jointly hosted by Art à la Carte and Alberta Health Services.
