Donna Mae Goldade was born and raised in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Her education includes a B.Ed., Dip.E.C. and M.A. After 20 years of teaching and two bouts of cancer, painting became her therapy, her passion and a celebration of life.
Donna became familiar with the Art à la Carte program during her treatment at the Foothills Hospital. It was here that she personally experienced the powerful manner in which art can contribute to regaining one’s health. Donna’s donation to the Footprints Gallery is her way of “giving back” while honouring her ongoing commitment towards helping others with cancer
